Blue Dog wants YOU! Dog-lovers wanted for key volunteer opportunites!

We are looking for motivated, dedicated Dog Lovers!

Can you spare a couple of hours a week to help the Blue Dog Shelter? An experienced volunteer would orient you to some or all of the following:
-Check shelter voice mail and return calls
-Maintain/update picture boards for front desk
-Check forms drawer and make copies as needed
-Prepare “Puppy Packets” for new adopters
-Make up folders for incoming puppies or dogs
-Call references for pending adoptions
-Call families for post-adoption survey
-Take dogs to vet as needed
-Take puppies for “potty walks” if needed
-On Transport Arrival Days:
*Make sure clean crates are ready
*Assist in getting new arrivals settled
*Copy forms and prepare folders
-Sort cartridges for recycling
-Help on special activity days – fundraisers, photo days, etc
